INTRODUCTION

NOT ON EARTH LAB is a secret research facility where numerous Dr. AGENTs work, guided by the philosophy that every object has its own unique personality. Every product created here is considered a special entity and is called an EDITION.


The lab defines the production process not as mere manufacturing but as a process of training and nurturing. These EDITIONs, once completed through this process, are not sold but adopted by consumers, or Earthlings.


The ultimate goal of NOT ON EARTH LAB is to create new value and stories through the relationship between EDITIONs and their users. The focus goes beyond simple product supply, aiming to foster unique experiences and meanings through the interaction between EDITIONs

and users.

연구소는 제품 생산 과정을 단순한 제작이 아닌 훈련과 양육의 과정으로 정의합니다. 이러한 과정을 거쳐 완성된 EDITION들은 판매가 아닌 입양의 형태로 소비자, 즉 지구인들에게 전달됩니다.

인터뷰어: EDITION들이 입양된 후에는 어떤 일이 일어나나요?

Interviewer: Hello, Dr. AGENT. Can you briefly introduce your role?


Of course. I first arrived on Earth in 1999, and since then, I’ve been working as a Dr. AGENT at the NOT ON EARTH research facility. Here, we believe that every object on Earth holds its own unique value and personality.


Interviewer: That’s a fascinating concept. What is your primary role as a Dr. AGENT?


Our main role is to train and nurture objects. Once trained, these objects become what we call EDITIONs. After completing their training, each EDITION is adopted by Earthlings.


Interviewer: What happens after an EDITION is adopted?


Adopted EDITIONs interact with Earthlings, creating new value through their relationships. Each relationship forms a unique story, and this variety of stories is what makes our work so meaningful.


Interviewer: I see. So, what is the ultimate goal for Dr. AGENTs?


Our ultimate goal is to create new value through these experiments. The unique relationships between objects and humans open up entirely new possibilities. We aim to discover and expand these new forms of value.

Interviewer: Hello, Dr. AGENT. I heard you're in charge of the adoption process. Could you explain what you do?


Dr. AGENT: Yes, I work at the NOT ON EARTH facility, handling the adoption process. Our goal is to help beings called EDITIONs find homes with Earthlings. We train and nurture these entities to develop unique value and new roles.


Interviewer: What does the process look like before an EDITION is adopted?


Dr. AGENT: Each EDITION undergoes thorough training to develop their personality and abilities. My role is to ensure they’re ready for adoption and to find suitable adopters who will match well with them.


Interviewer: How do the adopted EDITIONs interact with Earthlings?


Dr. AGENT: Adopted EDITIONs create new value through their interactions with Earthlings. They may perform specific functions or gain deeper meaning through relationships, with each EDITION forming its own unique story.


Interviewer: Lastly, what brings you the most satisfaction in your role?


Dr. AGENT: Seeing the EDITIONs I’ve placed grow in their relationships with Earthlings and watching them create new stories and impact each other positively gives me the most fulfillment.
